I joined my Marlboro friends in a RV to ride to Penn State for the Cincinnati game. Some of the guys went to Cincinnati and some have never been to Penn State so it was an exciting weekend. We had different tailgates to go to and different seats but we still had a good time together. RVs are awesome but can also be smelly

Eight of us guys rented a 29 foot RV and drove from Marlborough to State College. Corey and I joined Steve, Adam, Andy, Tim, and Tim. Steve started driving by noon and we were drinking around noon, why not, we were not driving and played Eucher a lot. We picked up Bryan in Brewster, NY where he got a bottle of Jager and we stopped at a pizza shop.
We only hit a small bit of traffic in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre during rush hour. We rolled into State College by 7 and dropped Andy, Tim, and Bryan at the Days Inn then went to the Ag Arena across from Beaver Stadium to park in the RV lot. It is $50 for the weekend, great deal! We quickly got ready to go out and I called taxis and I directed us to the Saloon for pitchers of Monkey Boys! We got several flavors as we watched the Red Sox @ Yankees game. We ordered some really good garlic fries and bacon cheese fries, yummy! Then we went to the Rathskellar to hit a dive bar. Oh how I miss the Boston smoking ban! We popped into Zeno's for more smoke inhaling and a few more pints. We took the Loop back to the BJC/Stadium area and walked to the Ag Arena.
Saturday Corey and I woke up around 7 and walked from the RV to Rob's tailgate. I had American Ice on the way and we both had a hamburger roll for breakfast. The baseball stadium construction moved our usual spot far away from the Beav. Rob, Amy, Jaime, and Al were there waiting to party. Al had his mix cd playing in the Jeep and Rob had his breakfast burritos warming on the grill. I love those freaking things, they make every morning so much better! I tried pitching to Rob with a whiffle ball but he could not hit to save his life. Corey and I hit around a bit and then threw some football. We cooked up some burgers and went to the game. Corey and I sat only a couple rows from Rob and Amy so they came up to hang next to us. I snuck a Yuengling in and that was tasty. It was a beautiful day and got hot under the sun. The game went very well with a win for JoePa. We went back to the tailgate and had more beers and another burger. We went back to the RV and took a long nap, very refreshing. The shower in the RV was interesting but it did the trick. The other guys went out to dinner and bar but Corey and I went to Champs for dinner with Rob, Amy, and Jaime. Then we crammed in Rob's car and hung out at Jaime's. We checked out some internet movies of some crazy guy then Star Wars DVD trivia. Then we got a cab back to the RV, chatted a bit, then went to sleep. The other guys came home after 3 but I was able to get back to sleep ok
I was surprised we were able to hit the road Sunday at 11, pretty good time to start. We stopped in Scranton at Damon's to get lunch and watch NFL opening day. They have 4 big projectors where each table can select which game they want to listen to. Good prime rib sandwich and a salad for me, yummy! The RV started to build up a good odor from eight guys who were tailgating all weekend, yucky! We stopped at the Connecticut Welcome Center where there is a RV sanitation dump site. Steve impressed us all and got dirty emptying the truck. Unfortunately the dirty stuff was from the toilet. We all owe him a beer. Steve drove the whole way home and we got worried as he was driving like his truck not like a long RV with eight people! We were leaning towards the curves in Hartford. We got back all in one piece. Great weekend, I only paid $80 for my share of the RV, not bad. I would do it again if someone else drove!
